Ron Miller - Undersheriff

Undersheriff Ron Miller, a dedicated law enforcement professional with a career spanning over 9 years, currently serves as the Undersheriff at the Choctaw County Sheriff's Office. Born and raised in Hugo, Oklahoma, Ron has deep roots in the community that shaped his commitment to public service.

Ron graduated from Hugo High School in 1993, setting the foundation for his future in law enforcement. After completing his education, he embarked on a career devoted to maintaining the safety and well-being of his fellow citizens.

Beginning his journey at the Rattan Police Department, Ron spent 2 years honing his skills and demonstrating his unwavering dedication to justice. His exceptional abilities and leadership qualities propelled him to the position of Chief of Police within just one year, showcasing his natural aptitude for law enforcement.

Seeking new challenges and opportunities to make a significant impact, Ron transitioned to the Choctaw County Sheriff's Office, where he has served for the past 7 years. During this time, he has consistently exemplified his commitment to the community, and was promoted to the position of Undersheriff in 2023.

Ron's passion for ensuring the safety and welfare of others extends beyond his professional life. As a member of the Multidisciplinary Child Abuse Team (MDT), he actively contributes to the collaborative efforts aimed at addressing and preventing child abuse, showcasing his dedication to the most vulnerable members of society.

When not safeguarding the community, Ron finds solace in the scenic landscapes of Hugo, where he has resided since the age of 4. A single father of two, he takes immense pride in his children. Ron's family values and his commitment to creating a safe environment for future generations drive his passion for law enforcement.

Outside of work, Ron enjoys the thrill of riding motorcycles, finding a sense of freedom and exhilaration on the open road. This hobby not only reflects his adventurous spirit but also serves as a reminder of the importance of balance in both personal and professional life.
