Sheriff Terry Park of the Choctaw County Sheriff's Office has been happily married to his wife Debbie for 24 years, and together they have a daughter. He is a member of the Shoals Baptist Church, Hugo, Fort Towson Masonic Lodge, and the Choctaw County Fair Board, Sheriff Park is deeply rooted in his community.
Embarking on his law enforcement journey in April of 1986, Sheriff Park has dedicated an impressive 38 years of service to the people. His tenure at the Choctaw County Sheriff's Office as a field deputy began in January 1997. He steadily climbed the ranks from lieutenant to investigator and eventually became Undersheriff. In 2012, Sheriff Park was elected as the Sheriff, following which he served on the Oklahoma Sheriffs' Association board from 2014 to 2015.
Known for his hands-on approach, Sheriff Park actively engages in the day-to-day operations of the Sheriff's Office. From taking calls alongside his deputies to writing reports and making arrests in the field, he remains dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of Choctaw County residents. Reflecting his commitment to transparency and accessibility, Sheriff Park emphasizes an open-door policy within the office.
