Welcome to the Choctaw County Sheriff's Office Inmate Mail page. We understand the importance of communication between inmates and their loved ones. It is our commitment to uphold open lines of communication while prioritizing the safety and security of our Detention Center.
At the Choctaw County Sheriff's Department, we believe in fostering connections and maintaining transparency. Therefore, we impose minimal restrictions on the ability of inmates to communicate with individuals outside the Detention Center. However, we reserve the right to implement necessary restrictions to ensure the order and security of our facility.
To uphold the safety and security of our facility, all incoming and outgoing mail will be thoroughly inspected for contraband. It is essential for the well-being of everyone within the Detention Center that no illegal or threatening items enter or leave the premises.
Mail will only be withheld in instances where it poses a legitimate threat to the security of the facility or involves illegal activities. Our aim is to facilitate communication while maintaining a secure environment for all.
Please note that clothing, shoes, and hygiene items are not allowed to be delivered to inmates directly. Inmates can obtain these items, along with paperback books, through their commissary account. Family and friends can contribute by depositing money into the inmate's commissary account.
To provide inmates with essential items, friends and family can contribute to their commissary account. This allows inmates to purchase clothing, shoes, hygiene items, and paperback books from the approved list.
We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we work to balance communication needs with the safety and security of our Detention Center. If you have any further questions or concerns, feel free to the Jail Administrator at (580) 326-2600 Monday - Friday 8AM - 4PM.
